Hey everybody! I apologize for not having been very active lately, pressing essays from my Sociology and US History class have been taking up a lot of my time, as well as designing my new art project for my Printmaking class. Also, I am planning to participate in the Holiday Art sale at my college, where I can sell some of my paintings and prints that I have made since the start of fall semester. In the sale I will include my two MLP paintings of Nightmare Moon and King Nautilus. There are a couple of original pieces that I'm a little hesitant to put up for sale, but I am pressed for money since I don't have a job yet so if I run out of time to make nice-quality copies I'll take photos of them then put them in the sale so I can reach the minimum. In the way of painting, I am currently working on a series of Disney Characters as mice. It started out as something just for funsies, but a lot of people really liked the idea so now I'll be doing them to either sell or keep as portfolio pieces- I already finished Ariel and Rapunzel, I'll work on/finish up Flynn Rider by this weekend. I am also starting to work on a super awesome and special project, but I'm going to keep the rest of it a secret until it's finished
Ah, the waiting game. I never liked the waiting game, because I'm either waiting for something really bad to happen, or I'm waiting to get something that I really, really want. Fortunately, it's the latter. Many of you might not have heard of her before, but I discovered this treasure about a year ago, and I've been an adoring fan of hers ever since. So one day while looking up covers for the song "Over the Mist Mountains" from The Hobbit when I come across one sung by Karliene Reynolds. I was intrigued by her unique singing style of the song, and started to look through her other songs like "Gently As She Goes" and "The Rains of Castamere" (I was not a fan of Game of Thrones at the time but I still really liked it). Once I started to watch the show, the songs started to make more sense, and I started to listen to more and more of her songs. I found out that she was releasing her debut album "Dreams of Fire", and the first chance I got I reserved a physical copy. So now I have to wait for it to ship from Scotland, where she's from, so idk when it's coming but I'm assuming it'll be either by the end of the week or at the beginning of next week. But I've been chatting with her via Facebook for a while, and the more I talk to her, the more I am convinced of what an amazing and beautiful person she truly is. She is such a friendly and inspirational person, she and her music have really inspired a lot of new painting projects I have lined up for the next few weekends/months. Now if only I didn't have any pesky essays or study guides to write... ah well, shouldn't have to wait too long. So excited to get it!
